You can be sure that if Christina Lauren have a new book coming out, I’m going to want to read it.

The Romance Revival is an interesting take on the second-chance romance trope. Our protagonist, Emery, is a workaholic, to say the least. Her job in STEM is top secret, even too confidential to be able to share with her husband. This has created issues over the course of their relationship. She loves Luca with all of her heart, and their chemistry is ah-mazing, but she’s always running late, she misses dates, she’s preoccupied, and she ends up spending minimal time with him.

When Luca is involved in a tragic accident, Emery decides to take matters into her own hands in order to try and save his life, despite the ethics or potential fallout. She was taking a big risk, but who wouldn’t do everything that they could to save the love of their life.

This novel is certainly different than other second-chance romances that I’ve read, but different can be good. There is a touch of danger, intrigue, and malice, but not to worry, this is a love story. As with all of their books, The Romance Revival has likable characters, humor, witty banter, and a good amount of romance.

While I enjoyed my time with Emery and Luca, I just have to say that I did have a soft spot in my heart for Crash. Not only are the main characters well done in Christina Lauren’s novels, but the secondary ones are always equally as good.

The Romance Revival was an entertaining reading experience.
