As soon as I read the synopsis for Love You More, I was adding it to my to-be-read list. I already knew that this author could spin a good story together that keeps her readers glued to the pages.
This was a very sweet story. Yes, there was heartbreak and events that would tug at your heartstrings, but at the end of the day, it was a sweet romance. I think I was under the assumption that it was going to have more angst, more push and pull.
There was a twist in the story that I didn’t see coming, which I always appreciate. As soon as I got to that part I thought There! Now the angst is going to begin! Maybe I’m a sucker for punishment, but I wanted to have the angst, to feel as though my heart was being put through the wringer. I wanted the characters to have a more difficult time. They were going through some really challenging times, there should have been more tension, but it all just seemed to fall into place too easily. With that being said, I ended up feeling a bit disconnected to the characters and their story.
Love You More was a good story. While it didn’t give me everything that I was hoping for, it still kept my interest.
