Effortless - By S.C. Stephens

This is the second book in the Thoughtless Series…and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. The drama continues in this book and that

same stressed out feeling that I got when reading the first one is still there!

Don’t continue reading any further if you have not read the first book, I don’t want to spoil the experience for you…..and an experience it is ;)

This book continues with the relationship between Kiera and Kellan. The couple are trying to take things slowly this time. Kiera has stayed living with her sister in their apartment. Kiera and Kellan are working on getting to know each other better and learning how to be together as a couple. Things are going well for them for now (and I sigh with relief), they have both been through a lot of pain in order to get where they are.

In this book, you get to know some of the other characters a bit better. The interaction between the characters is very good and adds to some humorous parts. Kiera’s friends and Kellan’s fellow bandmates have some really good scenes in the book. Griffin, Griffin, Griffin…he is something else!

Kiera and Kellan are not without their challenges. As Kellan and the D-Bags become more popular, they get noticed by a famous band. Sounds good, right? Well, the D-Bags get invited to join this band on a six month tour across the U.S.! Kiera struggles with Kellan’s new found fame and the distance that this tour will put on their new relationship. Of course, Kiera knows that girls flock to her gorgeous boyfriend and she is only too aware that his growing popularity will only add to it. She knows he could have any beautiful girl that he wants and like most women, she is insecure.

Kellan doesn’t seem worried that their relationship will fizzle out with the distance. He loves her and wants to make it work. Since the way they came together in Thoughtless was based on lies and betrayal, it is normal that they have trust issues. This book has some serious angst filled moments that will have you flipping pages faster than you thought possible!
