I loved Lucy and Kale’s unconventional relationship! The way they met, the way things progressed, the way they ended up becoming best friends. Oh, and the chemistry between them was certainly steamy! It’s not often that you read a book where the female character is fine with a no-strings attached intimate relationship. This was a fun and refreshing change.

Kale and Lucy were just in it for a good time. They had a sizzling attraction to one another and just wanted to enjoy it for what it was. Neither one of them had any hopes or desires for their little fling to turn into anything more. Both of them were not ready or willing to give their relationship an actual status. As their “friendship” progressed, they couldn’t imagine not having the other person in their life. They just liked being together…both in and out of the bedroom. They fit together perfectly.

I enjoyed the witty banter between the characters. This book was definitely a fun read. I did laugh out loud at the assortment of “garden” jokes that were made! There were a lot of emotional parts to the book as well. I might have had to wipe away the tears a couple of times! In my opinion, no good love story should be easy. They both had issues from their pasts that they were still trying to deal with. These issues defined the way they lived their lives and the way they entered into relationships with the opposite sex. Kale and Lucy did experience highs and lows in their relationship, but I don’t want to get into too many details and spoil it for anyone. This book had so many great elements to it and I found myself eagerly flipping the pages!  This was my first time reading a book by this author, but it definitely won't be my last. How could you not fall in love with Kale Montgomery?!
