Dear Bridget, I Want You
By Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland

Is there a doctor in the house?  Oh, yes there is!

Dear Bridget, I Want You is a sweet, sexy, humorous, fun read from start to finish.  These two authors know how to write an irresistible story that has all of the emotions and leaves you with a smile on your face.  I was hooked from the start (pun intended) and was completely swept up in Bridget and Simon’s story.

If you’re looking for a well-rounded romance that is as fuzzy as your most comfortable sweater, this is the book for you.  From the way that the characters met to their flirtatious banter to their undeniable chemistry, this book was just brimming with all of the things that make for an addictive romance.  I was completely smitten with the characters and the story, but what I didn’t expect was for there to be a twist.  I think I actually gasped out loud.  I love it when a book can surprise me, and I certainly was surprised.

Dr. Simon Hogue is absolutely charming.  He’s sweet, caring, has a great bedside manner, and he’s just about as cheeky as they come.  His only downfall is that he doesn’t really want a commitment, and he’s planning to return to England as soon as his residency is over.

Bridget was such a likable character.  I wanted her to be happy, to give herself permission to move on with her life.  You couldn’t fault her for putting her son first.  She was left to raise him on her own after her husband was killed in an accident.  When Bridget found herself in the ER after an unfortunate and embarrassing little mishap, her introduction to the good doctor left her feeling things that she hadn’t felt in years.

I loved witnessing the tension between the characters.  They were both so drawn to each other but fought their attraction.  Neither one felt as though they were in a position to jump into any kind of relationship. The authors built up the intensity between Bridget and Simon, they let it all simmer until the timing was just right.  The back and forth and build-up is always what I enjoy the most in any romance novel – and Ward and Keeland did a wonderful job.

Dear Bridget, I Want You was a pleasure to read.  It was filled with endearing characters, humor, and plenty of steam.  I am looking forward to the next book by this talented writing duo.
