 Summer/Vacation Reading & Recommendations!

Vacation time has arrived, I’ve got some reading to do.  I’ve been on a bit of a book buying bonanza lately and I have a lot of books I want to read.  My reading list for this summer’s vacation is excessively ambitious, but between balconyville and poolsideton, I’m hoping to succeed.

I’ve usually been able to include a little bit of King in my summer reading.  This year I’ve got a fresh copy of  The Outsider  on my nightstand.

The Girl on the Train blew my mind.  My copy of  Into the Water  has been staring at me for a while now.  It may be the perfect time to jump in.

If the heat and humidity starts to get to me, Bracken MacLeod’s  Stranded  is waiting for me.  The arctic apocalypse should cool things down.

Just in case I feel like going back in time, I’ve got Madeline Miller’s  Circe ready to cast its spell on me.

And  The Book of M  is a recent acquisition ready to fill my dystopian void.

Now, if you’re looking for something, I’ve got some recommendations to add some fun and adventure to your summer nights.

Year One, how can you go wrong when Nora Roberts brings you a new and wonderful apocalypse?  What’s better than spending time with your family while the world as you know it comes to an end?

For your own escape from the heat, why not join Captain Crozier on The Terror.  I loved his epic adventure while trapped in the pack ice.

Caroline Kepnes’  Providence  was a fabulous mind-fuckery of a book.  It’s sure to captivate your summer nights.

For something a little lighter, I cannot say enough about  Lamb.  I don’t think that I have ever laughed so much for any book.

And, in case you’ve missed 2018 up to this point – Ready Player One.  Just read it.
