This book was completely unexpected! It had a little bit of everything in it. It had humour, romance, steamy scenes, and some darker subject matter. The characters in the book were great. I enjoyed it from beginning to end.

This is the story of Ana Belle, a nineteen year old girl who had big dreams of getting the heck out of Sugartown. Her mother had passed away and her Dad got remarried to a younger woman. This has left Ana Belle running her mother’s diner… and making a ton of pies. She does have the help of her best friend, who just happens to be a sex starved drama queen! This makes for a lot of humorous situations. She also has a cute little half-brother who loves hanging out with his big sister (he says some really funny lines in the book!). Things get a bit more interesting for Ana Belle when Elijah comes to town.

Elijah is a tattooed, motorcycle riding bad boy that is everything wrong and oh so right for Ana Belle. She knows that she should stay far away from him, but she is too attracted to him. She hasn’t been all that lucky in love. Her last serious boyfriend cheated on her with one of the town tramps. Elijah is more than interested in the young and beautiful pie maker, but gets a bit scared when he learns that her Daddy owns the garage that he was just hired at. This doesn’t really stop them from developing a relationship.

Elijah has many secrets that he is keeping from Ana Belle. He doesn’t like to live anywhere for too long. Soon Elijah’s past comes crashing into Sugartown and it changes everything for Ana Belle. Trust is lost. Dangerous situations occur. Lives are changed.

This book had me shocked, laughing out loud, and turning the pages as fast as I could. I believe that there is going to be a sequel to this book……I’m glad because I can’t wait to go back to Sugartown!
