This is a very dark and twisted book. This is not a book that is filled with sunsets, roses and sweet kisses. This book has revenge, pain, punishment, hate, deception, and lust. This is not a book for the faint of heart. It is a gritty, raw, mind-blowing ride that will have your jaw dropping.
Mr. X is not your average romantic male character. He is a ruthless killer, a paid assassin. His mission in life is to find Jay, make her suffer, and kill her. He blames her for all of pain that he had to endure at the hand of his assailants.
Jay is a stripper, a druggie, a woman who can use her assets to make any man want her. She is wild, spontaneous and likes to live for the moment. She also can’t remember a lot of her past. She realizes that her life isn’t ideal, but it is what it is. When Mr. X and Jay come face to face in her motel room (or should I say gun to face), Jay’s life is put into his hands. His dream finally becomes his reality, he owns her. He can use her body, punish her, bring himself pleasure and in the end ruin her.
There is some connection that Jay feels towards her captor. She hates him and wants her freedom, but she senses that there is more to their story than meets the eye. Why does he want her dead? What did she ever do to him? These are all questions that Jay has swimming around in her head. She knows that the only thing that will keep her alive is to completely give herself up to his demands, to be everything that he wants her to be.
Mr. X is filled with twists and turns that will have you wondering who you can trust. It has drama, suspense, a lot of kinky sex…and even love. It is a fast paced book that will keep you flipping the pages to find out what happens next.
